The vision of Gaelscoil Naomh Séamas is to foster a positive, pleasant and open learning environment, where the child's identity is celebrated, attracted and encouraged.
As a Gaelscoil, we foster love and understanding for the Gaelic language, culture and customs. Irish is the language of the school and it will be promoted in a positive way through the entire school community.
Our school fosters an environment in which both students and teachers are motivated and engaged. As partners in education, parents are welcomed and encouraged to take a central role in the life of the school.
Respect and care for our environment is encouraged in the entire school community.
School Ethos
Gaelscoil Naomh Séamas is a Catholic co-educational school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kerry. The school offers Religious Education to students according to the teachings, practices and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.
Although Gaelscoil Naomh Séamas has a Catholic ethos, it gives due recognition to all other religions and students from all faiths are welcomed and respected.
At Gaelscoil Naomh Séamas we are committed to the holistic development of all our students by creating a happy and safe environment where every child is enabled to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives, including spiritual, moral, cognitive, aesthetic, social and physical .
We have set this vision before us in collaboration with all partners in education, the Board of Management, the parents and the community in general.
